I strongly dislike being pregnant, but I'm hoping these fours goals will change that.

You've heard that Christmas should practice hospitality, and you really want to. But you have a hang up, you don't know what to serve. Well here are a few ideas.

Every element of our Christmas holiday can be connected to Jesus. You just have to look hard to see it.

We hear it all the time, "Jesus is the reason for the season." But what are ways we can make that a reality in our house? How can we look at traditional Christmas cookies through the lens of Scripture?

Listening can have more impact than we realize. Not only does it affect our relationships in the here and now, but can also impact others relationship with God for eternity.

When was the last time you really thought about how your words and tone are influencing those around you?

I know what you're thinking. "She waited until October to write about fall stuff?" Well...yes. For the simple reason of it's FINALLY starting to feel like fall here in Oklahoma. (Although, I'm trying not to be too excited because the weather does so like to trick me...). Even though it's only just now feeling like fall, I wasted no time making sure it looked and smelled like fall in my house. And these are the 5 main things I've used religiously since well before the first official day of fall.

Don't get me wrong. I love a good vacation. Whether it's spent at a beach, at a lake, or in the mountains, it's my happy place, away from the chaos of reality. What I don't like is the massive reality check that hits you when you walk through the door. Seriously, it takes me forever to unpack from a week long trip because I'm worn out and frankly, a little overwhelmed with everything that needs to be done.

Like many things, my taste in music has changed over the years. There came a day where children's songs were beneath me, then I discovered "praise choruses", but I only listened to those at church. By high school, my genre of choice was modern country. But after becoming a mom something in me changed that caused me to give up country music all together. That change: I began actually listening to what I was singing.
